Well: Even with pretty modest goals for racing in 2013, I raced a lot less than I’d planned. I guess, if the way I’m wired continues to cause me to put racing after all my other obligations, I shouldn’t let this surprise me every season…
Having made the surprise decision in late 2011 to sell my car and get out of racing, you wouldn’t think there would be much in the way of racing to talk about… and you’d be right. Pretty much.
A year that saw a major and very positive change to the car… but one not without consequences.
Kind of an odd, not to mention abbreviated, season, but with one very strong positive.
My sixth season of racing started well enough, quite well, but ended prematurely for reasons that had nothing to do with racing, or even me personally. Next year, unfortunately, looks worse.
Oh dear… another season where what I thought was going to happen and what actually did happen took one look at each other and ran in opposite directions. The first season with my new, more powerful, more “race car-ish” car. A rebuilding season, of a sort, but mainly an opportunity to play with the M3 and have fun racing again. Or so I thought.
